How to install
Android
Download for AndroidSteps
- Tap Download, then open the file
- Android will say it cannot install from this source — tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back
- Tap Install
- If Play Protect warns, tap More details → Install anyway. Normal for any app not from the Play Store
iPhone
Your Apple ID first
Ekybe arrives through TestFlight, Apple's own app for test builds. I have to invite you by name, so send me the email address of your Apple ID first — the one the iPhone is signed in with — and wait for Apple's invitation.
Nothing to plug in, no Mac, nothing to look up on the phone. If you sent me a UDID before, forget it — it is not needed any more.
Steps, once you are invited
- Install TestFlight from the App Store. It is free and made by Apple
- Accept what Apple emails you. There may be two: one to join my team, one when the build is ready
- Tap View in TestFlight in the email, then Install next to Ekybe
- The icon appears on your Home Screen. Open it — there is no "trust the developer" step
Updates
New versions come through TestFlight, not the App Store. It tells you one is there and you tap Update.
A build stops opening 90 days after I upload it — that is Apple's rule, not a fault. If Ekybe refuses to start, open TestFlight and take the newer build.
What to send me
Your name and your Apple ID email, here on Ekybe or by email:
name@example.com
It has to be the Apple ID the iPhone is actually signed in with — any other address gets an invitation you cannot accept on the phone. One address covers all your devices.
Without installing anything
On a computer, or if you would rather not install anything, open cobaltfairymail.ekybe.app. It is the same Ekybe.
On iPhone you can also add it to the Home Screen from Safari: Share → Add to Home Screen. It works immediately, with no invitation and nothing to install — but notifications are less reliable than the real app.
You need an invitation to sign in. If you have not had one by email, ask Roberto before installing.
